Claudia Meneghesso is a PhD student at CIBIO‘s doctoral program, Biodiv. She got her MSc in Biodiversity and Management of Marine Organisms, at the University of Padua (Italy), working on populations dynamics and life history traits of fishery targeted species, with particular focus on reproductive and growth traits of teleosts.
Her PhD, Upwelling and biodiversity in a climate change context, aims at:
- Understanding the biological implications of upwelling processes through the analysis of coastal temperatures and through the investigation of historical datasets on species distributions;
- Understanding how upwelling-driven systems are responding to current climatic changes both at physical and ecological levels. A multidisciplinary approach is being implemented, combining ecology, climatology, and modelling.
